James Ward is a pastor, author, entrepreneur, and community leader who speaks nationally and internationally on cultural and spiritual issues. He has been seen and heard across America on television and radio, both as a host and guest on numerous programs and networks, including TBN, CTN, Dove TV, The Word Network, LESEA Broadcasting, and The 700 Club. As a scholar and Bible teacher, James emphasizes personal character development, while challenging listeners intellectually from God’s Word.

In his book, Zero Victim: Liberate Yourself from the Mentality of Defeat, he shares a universal principle that has fueled his success in every area of life. His own journey toward a zero victim mentality began in his childhood during the time of school integration in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It was there at an early age that he discovered that his success and destiny in life were not determined by the color of his skin, but by his faith in God, the content of his character, and his zero victim mindset.

James is the host of Cultural Conversations, a daily radio show on Salem Media AM 1160 in Chicago. Each day he equips hundreds of thousands of listeners with Godly wisdom to meet everyday challenges with Biblical solutions.

After studying music and business at DePaul University in Chicago and touring as a professional musician, James pursued his calling to ministry, eventually earning a Master of Divinity degree in Practical Theology from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. His personal mission is to bring out the best in people by helping them obtain and apply the wisdom of God to avoid the unnecessary hardships of life.

James presently serves as senior pastor and founder of INSIGHT Church in the North Chicago suburb of Skokie. He and his wife Sharon have been married for seventeen years and have two wonderful children, Hannah and Jonathan.
